Demi Lovato, Eva Longoria Named To Speak at Democratic National Convention

Singer Demi Lovato and actress America Ferrera, two Latina millennial entertainers who have also worked as vocal activists for Hispanic causes announced on Twitter respectively that they will be speaking at the Democratic National Convention next week in Philadelphia.

” I’m going to @DemConvention next week in Philly!!” Lovato said on the social media platform to her 37 million followed which was then retweeted more than 3 thousand times by the time of this writing.

 

Ferrera also said that “Girls” creator Lena Dunham has also been invited to speak.

 

Actress Eva Longoria also took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce her attendance at the convention.

The three prominent Latina entertainers have been very vocal in their support of the former Secretary of State throughout this presidential campaign. Both have appeared on several occasions at Clinton events.

Other stars joining Ferrera, Lovato and Longoria are former NBA centers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Jason Collins, as well as actors Erika Alexander, Tony Goldwyn, Chloe Meretz and Debra Messing.

Other Latino entertainers who have endorsed Clinton include Salma Hayek and Wilmer Valderrama, singers Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera and Marc Anthony. None of them have announced whether or not they plan to attend the convention next week.
